Edward P. King
Founder/ Managing Partner
Edward is the Founder and Managing Partner of King Trade Capital (“KTC”), the premiere investment company specializing in purchase order, contract and project finance. The firm’s clients have included more than 400 public and private companies worldwide in which King Trade Capital has invested more than $2.50 billion of capital.
Edward started King Trade Capital in 1993 with well known high net worth investors and has grown the business to include major financial institutions. King Trade Capital has produced annual profits with returns well in excess of public market indices over the same period.
Edward is a leading advocate of integrity and proper structure in finance and continues to fight for the sensible structuring of financial instruments. His unique entrepreneurial approach to investment has helped develop a disciplined approach at King Trade Capital that has become “best practice” for the structuring of purchase order, contract and project financing.
He is a Director and past Executive Committee member of the Commercial Finance Association and is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization. Edward is a regular speaker and panelist discussing the specialized finance solutions developed at King Trade Capital. Edward has authored many articles including those for industry publications such as The Secured Lender, ABF Journal and The Commercial Factor.
Prior to starting KTC, he was Founder and Managing Partner of King Interests and King Investment Trust where he managed investments in real estate as well as operating companies. Previous to these activities Edward was Founder and President of Music Exchange and Music Man, a group of retail CD and tapes stores in cities throughout the Southwest as well as University campuses throughout the Southwest.
Edward received a BA in Economics and a Minor in Business from Southern Methodist University.
Brandyn M. Prust
Regional Manager of Business Development, East Coast
Brandyn joined King Trade Capital in 2016 as a Regional Manager of Business Development in our New York office.
Brandyn joined King Trade Capital after several years at Medallion Business Credit where he was a Vice President in business development sourcing companies in need of asset-based financing. He has prior experience in purchase order and trade finance having worked for 5 years with Ashford Finance followed by 3 years of cross border receivable financing with Finance One and DS-Concept where he traveled extensively throughout China and India.
Brandyn is responsible for expanding King Trade Capital’s market exposure to small and mid-sized companies on the East Coast. He is a graduate of Arizona State University and is very involved with the Commercial Finance Association, International Factoring Association, Turnaround Management Association and Association for Corporate Growth amongst other professional organizations.
Andy joined King Trade capital in 2011 and is tasked with assesing new opportunities, structuring, pricing and underwriting new client relationships as well as managing existing portfolio relationships.
Before joining King Trade Capital, Andy was a data credit analyst for Equifax. Andy is a graduate of Trinity University with a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. He was a member of Student Managed Funds where he managed a portion of Trinity University’s endowment using portfolio construction and analysis methods. Andy was a member of the nationally ranked Trinity University Men’s Soccer Team and remains active in soccer leagues.

Nathan S. Smith
Nathan joined King Trade Capital in 2014 and is tasked with assessing new opportunities, structuring, pricing and underwriting new client relationships as well as managing existing portfolio relationships.
Prior to joining King Trade Capital Nathan worked in commercial banking for Bank of America before moving on to the capital raising industry. Nathan went through Bank of America Merrill Lynch global commercial banking analyst program and was promoted to global commercial underwriter. Nathan then worked as support for a third-party marketer for hedge funds and private equity firms. Nathan also carried series 22 and 63 licenses. Nathan is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a major in Finance and a Minor in Economics.

Administration and Operations Manager
Julie joined the King Trade Capital team in 2019 and manages the administration and operations of King Trade Capital. She previously has experience as an operations manager of several local businesses and has an in-depth background in accounting.
